HMRC scam calls
Some people in the village have received calls claiming to be from HMRC (tax office) threatening legal action. These are scam calls. HMRC would like to get the details to stop these calls. See this official page:

Health Services - for non-emergency help and advice phone 111
Lifeline/care alarms and key safes: This concerns alarms that can be worn round the neck as a pendant or on the wrist which can be pressed to get help in an emergency. Key safes are boxes which can be fitted outside a house, with a combination lock on them, to hold a spare key so those with the number can enter a house in an emergency. These devices are available from many outlets but Mid Devon have asked us to mention theirs, and you can find more information about them here:
